MARKET REPORT FOR FEBRUARY

We are open and trading - but volumes are low. This is the month for Yorkshire forced rhubarb. This year we are working with our friend Annabel, our summer strawberry supplier, who is now following in her grandfather’s footsteps to supply this crop.

For citrus, blood oranges showing great colour. See this video from one of our suppliers. Not long left for Seville oranges. Other fruit includes rare heritage varieties of apple and pear from French orchards. Top quality Gariguettes now coming through from France and Portugal. Quality Moscatel grapes from Chile.

First broad beans and peas from the Continent. Excellent artichokes on hand, including Mammole. Agretti coming through, plus all the radicchios including rare grumolo.
