Incredible citrus. Oranges include Newhall leafy (untreated, Portugal), ‘Chocolate’ from Spain and Cara Cara. Also excellent clementines from Corsica & Portugal, Buddha Hands, Zebra lemons, bergamot, cedro, yuzu.
For other fruit, we recommend French golden kiwis, air-freight pineapples, sharon fruit, South American cherries and lychees on the branch from Reunion.
Vassout apples and pears eating beautifully, including Passe Crassane wax tipped pears.
Leafy salads include winter purslane, ice salad (a.k.a. ficoide), barbucine, large leaf spinach (Provence). All the radicchios on fine form.
Roots still going strong – chervil root, helianthus, Oca de Perou, nasturtium roots. It’s a good time for artichokes, including spiky.
Festive items include sprouts and tops, kalettes, chestnuts, Marrons Glace etc.
