MARKET REPORT FOR AUGUST

Fantastic fruit this month. One highlight are the Charentais melons from top grower Bernard Chiron - these are our new ‘stock’ melon and are second to none.

Grapes include Muscat and Chasselas. Figs moving into Sollies. Also excellent italian green figs.

Blood peaches and blood nectarines both available. Blush apricots still good.

We have French cobnuts at the moment - soon moving into UK.

Fantastic range of courgettes including Nicoise, Trombetta, round green and round yellow. Also the very best range of provencal tomatoes, including soil-grown varieties with an unparalleled depth of flavour.

English peas, broad beans and runners all available alongside a large range of other beans such as Coco and Borlotti.
